Verdyct is operated by Igor Pakuła, a sole trader based at ul. Lubelska 24/26/1, 93-129 Łódź, Poland, trading as Verdyct. Verdyct is a trading name, not a company; the data controller is Igor Pakuła personally.

Your email address, when you create an account, so you can sign in and so we can contact you about your account. Never shown publicly. Kept until you delete your account. Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you.

Your password, stored only as a hash. We cannot read it.

Your display name, username and bio, which you choose and which are shown publicly beside your arguments. They do not have to be your real name, and we would rather they were not.

What you write and how you react. Arguments, the side you picked, and your reactions to other people's arguments. Arguments and sides are public by design — that is the product. Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you.

Measurement, only with your permission. If you allow it, we store a random number in your browser for up to 180 days so that repeat visits are not counted as new people, and we record which pages were opened and which actions were taken. It is not derived from anything about you, and it is never combined with your account. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at preferences.

We do not store your IP address and we do not build a profile of you.

Necessary. Signing in and remembering your language. The site does not work without them, so they are not subject to consent.

Your measurement choice, kept for 365 days so we stop asking. Recording that you said no is itself the reason this one exists.

The measurement identifier, only if you allowed it. Declining deletes it rather than merely letting it expire.

A side you picked before signing in, kept for 7 days. It holds the choice — "for, on this debate" — and not an identifier, so there is nothing in it that could follow you between pages or be joined to anything else. It becomes a vote if you create an account, and expires if you do not.

All of them are first-party and none can be read by scripts in your browser.

When a debate closes, the arguments submitted to it are sent to Google's Gemini API so a verdict can be produced. That is a processor acting on our instructions. Your name, email and account are not sent — the model sees the text of arguments and nothing identifying about who wrote them.

The verdict judges the quality of the arguments submitted. It is not a statement of objective truth about the question.

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to processing, and complain to a supervisory authority — in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).

Two of those are buttons rather than requests. Your account page downloads everything we hold about you as a JSON file, and deletes the account. For anything else, write to us at the address above.

Deleting your account removes your email, name, username, bio and reactions. Your arguments stay, with your name removed from them. Other people replied to them and a verdict was reached on them; deleting them would rewrite debates that are not yours. If you need an argument itself removed, write to us.

If this policy changes in a way that affects what you consented to, you will be asked again rather than have an old answer reinterpreted as covering something new.
